Yonex - RDiS 100 Mid

The Yonex RDiS 100 Mid is a racquet best fit for advanced and intermediate hard players. Its innovative technology helps to stabilize torsion while yielding a crisp control and powerful feedback. Although it is a somewhat heavy and stiff racquet, it can be very useful to the skilled player who knows how to make the most out of its features. When playing from the baseline, some very powerful shots can be achieved with less effort, while more moderate or touch shots are made possible thanks to its sophisticated energy transfer technology.

Yonex - RQiS 1 Tour

Lleyton Hewitt, unlike its previous stick, has come up with a new racquet which features a tapered beam which has a narrow throat to an unusually wide head for the player’s spec. It has an increased head size of 95 square inches. Expert testers of the racquet feel that the RQis 1 Tour is definitely made for an advanced player. There were two attributes which the test team agrees and they are plenty of spin and low in power. There was also a noticeable flex in the throat which has a sensation that the player has to get accustomed to.

The testers also agreed on pin point control over the precision owing to the effect of open string pattern on the ball. Testers agree on the low power but they also add that they don’t get worn out during the game. At the net, this racquet offers both soft feel and plenty of pop to put shots away. The great maneuverability was apparent on reaction volleys, whey the players will be able to make good contact with the ball and get it back in play. Racquet testers feel that the players will enjoy the maneuverability, depth and punch if they get adjusted to the low power.

Yonex - RDS 002

The RDS 002 offers control and predictability with a very traditional feel in standard length. It also plays as though it has a larger sweet spot than its 98 square inch head size would suggest. The RDS 002 introduces the Aero Box Variframe concept which offers more aerodynamic cross section at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock points of the frame.

Yonex says that a 10% improvement in air flow over the frame occurs by reducing aerodynamic drag via this new Aero Box Variframe shape. The RDS series also features the use of Elastic Ti in the shaft of the racquet. It overcomes the limitations of the conventional frames. It has a good rebound effect which after a split second post impaction and deflection, the Elastic Ti frame snaps back to its original shape with extreme accuracy and with the full energy of the swing.

The Yonex promises 10% increase in sweet spot size owing to its isometric shape and 10% more aerodynamic feel through its Aero box Variframe. It gives a better feel from the Shockless Grommet and provides easy maneuverability and power due to its Control Shaft. The open string pattern allows more bite onto the ball thereby allowing the player to put more spin over their shots.
